Students in the FRI Public Health stream are recruiting participants for five active research studies:

Study 1: Assessment of Safety Perceptions and Approaches to Violence Intervention

If you are a Binghamton student or Broome County resident 18 years of age or older, you are invited to complete a brief survey on perceptions of safety, violence intervention approaches, and more. Click to learn more about the study.

Study 2: Examining the Impact of Restorative States on Mental Health

If you are an FRI-affiliated Binghamton University student 18 years of age or older, you are invited to join a 7-day experience using wearable technology to measure sleep and exercise. Click to learn more about the study.

Study 3: Politically Polarizing Social Media Content and Mental Health

If you are a college student 18 years of age or older, you are invited to complete a survey with embedded TikTok videos and provide responses to questions on social media motivations, conspiracy theory beliefs, and mental health. Click to learn more about the study.

Study 4: Cooking For Change: An Intervention For Food Insecurity

If you are a Binghamton University student 18 years of age or older, you are invited to attend a cooking demonstration and complete a survey before/after the demonstration on nutrition knowledge and cooking skills. Click to learn more about the study.
